Voice Capability
Inbound Call Traffic
There are two primary methods for calls to enter your Opentact account: SIP Domain and Phone Number.
SIP Domain
Opentact empowers users to create an unlimited number of SIP Domains, each with a valid SIP URL, such as test.sip.opentact.org. Every SIP domain possesses a unique SIP URI. Users can direct traffic to a SIP domain by employing SIP accounts or by whitelisting specific IPs or hostnames permitted to send traffic to a designated SIP domain.
SIP User
Within each SIP domain, users can establish an unlimited number of SIP accounts. By utilizing SIP clients like xLite or eyebeam, users can perform SIP registration to their SIP domains, enabling them to send traffic to the designated SIP domain.
SIP Trunking
Users can define an unlimited number of whitelisted IPs and hostnames for each SIP domain. This allows the origination of traffic to the SIP domain's SIP URI from these specified whitelisted sources.
Phone Number
Alternatively, users can send call traffic to their Opentact account by dialing the phone numbers they have purchased from Opentact. This straightforward method provides a convenient way to direct calls to your Opentact account, ensuring flexibility in managing inbound call traffic.
